Turkey day 2012

Hey guys! Did you enjoy Bristol’s post from yesterday?! If you remember this post, then you know that I love me some clean skin! I can’t wait to go out and get one of those black facial masks!! Thanks again, Bristol!

Are you all having a great Thanksgiving so far?! ARE YOU READY TO EAT?!

That’s the real question!
Oh, and what are you thankful for? That one is more important, I guess. ;-)

Here is the whole gang from Halloween this year.

My blog post is on skincare…. I am not doing this because I think I have the best skin…. well…I know I don’t. I’m doing it because this skincare routine has helped out my skin tremendously. I have never been a religious face washer.. I never cared before and never researched items before.. I’m here to tell you, if you haven’t found a good skincare routine PLEASE do…and PLEASE protect your face!

Here is my nighttime routine..ready…set…GO!

Gotta sport my new robe! TJ Maxx find of course! :)

Step 1-

Remove your eye makeup. I have been using these for over 4 years now. I have extremely oily skin so of course I lean towards everything that says Oil Free. These are formulated with a botanical blend of aloe, cucumber and green tea. They take off my eye makeup with ease and don’t hurt my eyes.

Step 2-

I have been using MD Formulations for almost 2 years now. This is formulated for oily and acne prone skin. (PICK ME) The glycolic acid is what treats the acne and the glycolic compound. Although this contains those to ingredients, it is still gentle on the skin.
Sorry for the scary picture, here is my face up close and personal after steps 1 & 2.

Step 3- *Once a week I do my black masks.
Photobucket
I LOVE them! I have tried out several ones and so far this boscia one is my favorite. I do have to warn you, it is slightly painful to peel off…This detox’s, purifies, and brightens your skin! LOVE. I usually apply this, then hop in the bath for 15 minutes and peel off after, then rinse the remaining with a warm wash cloth.

Step 4- Photobucket
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize. Here again is a MD formulations product that I have been using for about 2 years. This moisturizer is again for oily skin types, yet you still get good moisture. I apply this liberally all over my face.

Step 5- Photobucket
Since this product is too thick to put on my face (it would make me break out) I use this on my neck and chest area.

Step 6- Photobucket
This product is fairly new to my collection. I have been using this for a couple months now and I really seem to like this. I dab this under my eyes and onto my eyelid after everything and let it soak in. My eyes feel tighter and brighter when I wake up in the morning.

Well there it is guys! Please check out sephora.com for most of these products and your local drug store for the makeup wipes.

here are a few pictures with make up :)

Hello Monday, how was your weekend?

This morning has been a busy one! I’ve been in a slump lately and the housework has not been at the top of my list of things I care to do. Sure, the minimal day-to-day has been done, but not much deep cleaning. So I got up this morning and just got to it without thinking much about how much I didn’t really want to be doing it. ;-)

How was your weekend, friends? Saturday was pretty busy for me. I had the privilege of photographing a family that has had me taking pictures of them since their first born was about the age of their second one! After, I grabbed some Subway, and headed home, where I had a mini-sesh with my kiddo in his typical Saturday play clothes. He was dying to have a “work hat” like my husband’s. He was thrilled to get this one and tries to wear it all the time :-)

That one just pulls at my heart strings a little more than I’m comfortable with.
